Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
It's the first day of fall in the most beautiful place in the entire world! Okay... I'm a little biased. Though if you've visited Garrett County during the autumn season, you can understand why I feel this way. The leaves are brilliant, the air is crisp, the scenes of mountains and Deep Creek Lake waters and small towns are even more breathtaking. There is just something about fall, ammiright?
In addition to all of the beauty that fills our senses, fall means the beginning of the school year. As a parent of young children, the beginning of the school year always means my mornings and afternoons look a bit different than they were through the summer. As a parent of young children in 2020, the beginning of the school year means, buckle up butter cup, it's going to be a wild ride. In a world where life changes so dramatically every few days or so, I am increasingly grateful for a career that allows me flexibility and a family support system that is always here when I'm drowning.
This kiddo has been working so hard on virtual learning and he is doing a phenomenal job! His teachers have been amazing and so patient. This type of education is definitely teaching our children (and us parents) how to be uniquely tenacious. I suspect that the versatility they're learning now will help them for a long time in the future. I am incredibly proud of my school age son for never giving up and always coming to the desk with a great attitude!
As we continue to maneuver through distance learning with the 7 YO and preschool activities with the 4 YO, things have changed for this Garrett County real estate momma! Luckily, I like change.
This summer has been the busiest of my career. Deep Creek Lake was a more popular destination than ever and the real estate market was swarming! I am humbled and grateful for the opportunities I've had over the past few months. While working through this busy season, my schedule has been jam packed. I would begin my real estate day at 6 AM and would often still be working as I started to nod off around 10 PM. Now that school is back in session and happening in my home, work will become a little more structured. Check out the changes and give me a call to talk about how I can STILL help you!
