Lake. Life. Love.
This Deep Creek Weekend was a little different than normal and WE LOVED IT! On Thursday, we visited Chef Jason Fickes at Moonshadow to enjoy his bison special. His sliders were delicious and we had so much fun. On Friday, the snow was flying like crazy, school was cancelled and my amazing in-laws had a grandparent weekend with the kids. Since we were kid-free for the weekend, Eric and I took the opportunity to work on home projects we have been wanting to do a while. In the kitchen, we covered the bulkhead (previously painted with an ivy stencil) with grey barnwood shiplap. It was the Timberwall brand and I really liked using it! The application was made SO easy because there are adhesive strips on the back of each piece of (real) barnwood. We have decided to paint our staircase so we spent a good portion of the weekend sanding and prepping for paint. Lastly, I tore apart and completely reorganized our pantry. Honest truth, this pantry is what sold me on our house when we purchase in 2017. After all of our hard work, Saturday night we went to the newest hot spot in the DCL area, Short Story Brewing. We really like this place! It's intimate, friendly, hip, welcoming, and the beer is really good. Haven't been? You're going to love this place!
